Cross Bar Canyon Bug - 2008 AQHA Sorrel Stallion This horses sire is My Little Pep who goes back to Peppy San Badger on the top side and Doc O’Lena on his dams pedigree. These foals have proven to be intelligent and quick studies in their training. His dam is out of Mr Bug Wimpy who is the sire of the great “Brownie” (MBRA barrel horse of the year ’93, 94’, ’95, ’96, CCAfinals qualifier ’94, ’95, and ’96 and also inducted into the MRCA Hall of Fame in 2008). He is in the NAERIC Advantage program and is micro chipped. “Bug” is a well built horse with good feet and legs. With My little Pep, Doxs Best silver and Peppy San Badger in his pedigree he should have a lot of potential as a rope/ranch horse as well. “Bug” is nominated to the Lazy S Barrel Futurity and is eligible to come back as a 5 year old. This years’ futurity saw horses compete for a purse of $3150. Only horses nominated as weanlings or yearlings are eligible to come back to this competition. Cross Bar Zach – 2008 Dun AQHA Gelding Zach is sired by Cross Bar Bueno who goes back to Poco Bueno on the top side and Mr Bug Wimpy on the bottom. His dam is sired by Classy Sugar Doc (Saskatchewan Breeders Barrel Bonanza Sire) and out of a Mr Bug Wimpy bred mare. Mr Bug Wimpy is the sire of the great “Brownie” (MBRA barrel horse of the year ’93, 94’, ’95, ’96, CCAfinals qualifier ’94, ’95, and ’96 and also inducted into the MRCA Hall of Fame in 2008).
